Every film is an achievement
Every film is an achievement. The film your kid made with a gopro and iMovie. The student short made with $400 and borrowed equipment. That dumb film that isn’t color corrected very well. The studio movie made with too much money that looks, to your eyes, dumb and middling and geared at the bible belt and let’s-see-what’s-playing crowd. The “short film” with no compelling shots — it took three months to put together.
Behind every one of these films are people who care about creating something great, who have foregone other paths and careers and opportunities because they are happy when they are making things.
